The “Drilling Down on Local” is an annual conference on the future of local search and there were some interesting predictions that were captured by Donna Bogatin.

  • “evolution of the web into the Local Internet makes it possible for businesses to target and advertise directly to potential local customers who are online right now, searching for deals, recommendations and information in local communities” - Kevin Leu, Public Relations Manager, MerchantCrircle
  • Sees a local search future “so bright, you got to wear shades.” - Terry DiNatale, Founder, WebVisible
  • “the future is about the transition of ad dollars from offline to online. Both ad dollars and consumers will transition over to the Internet” - Matt Booth, Senior Vice President and Program Director, Interactive Local Media, Kelsey Group
