Generate Leads with a Simple Survey

A great way to generate new leads is by using a survey on your site.  It’s a great way to collect valuable information from users, while also generating new leads.

There are a bunch of great, FREE tools out there, including www.zoomerang.com, www.surveymonkey.com, and www.gs-survey.com.  There are advantages and disadvantages to all of them but the best part is that they all have a free version.  A paid version includes some more features and might be applicable if you exceed a certain number of responses (although that is obviously a good thing).

One of the best way to get people to respond is by giving a price out to the winner of the survey.  For example, if you are a mechanic, you might award a $250 coupon to your shop for the best “mechanic horror story”.  At the end, send everyone the winning story with an announcement of the winner (so they don’t think it’s just a scam) and maybe even tell them they got a runner-up award and offer them some sort of prize for their great story.  You can even offer something free to everyone who takes the survey (gets even better  response rate) such as a free consultation just for taking the survey.  This will require them to enter their information and will generate a lead for you.

The most important thing is that you’re not too intrusive.  Don’t show a bunch of annoying pop-ups or force them to go through the survey.  Just leave it as an option and hopefully you will get a good response and some valuable leads!
